If a memory card is inserted, the microSD card details will also be visible.ĥ. Click on the removable device to access your phone's internal storage. Swipe down from the top of the display to open the notification panel and tap Charging this device via USB to access more options.ģ. Tap File Transfer to share files to your PC.Ĥ. On the PC, your phone should be displayed as a removable device. ![]() The file will be sent through.ġ. Connect your device to a PC with a USB cable.Ģ. Select the device to share this with and select Accept on the receiving device. Allow access to WiFi and Bluetooth if this is the first time using this function.Ĥ. ![]() Tap the Share icon and select Nearby Share. To share files this way, navigate to the file you would like to send and select this with a long press.ģ. Nearby Share can be turned on by going to Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Nearby Share > On.Ģ. The same applies if you try this with a device on Android 8 with Android Beam switched on and hold that back-to-back with a device on Android 10 or higher.ġ. Devices with Android 10 or higher have no Android Beam and if you switch on NFC and hold two devices with Android 10 or higher back-to-back there will only be a signal sound and nothing else will happen. Note: Please be advised that in Android 10 the NFC function of Android Beam to share files has been deprecated. Ensuring the other device is unlocked, place these together back-to-back and you will hear a chime and feel a vibration and the file(s) will be sent over to the other device. Tap the share icon > select Share via Android Beam > on screen there will be the message Tap another device to complete.ģ. To select multiple files, press and hold to select these. Alternatively, this can be turned on in Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Enable NFC and Android Beam.Ģ. Turn on NFC by swiping down the notification bar, tap and hold NFC, the screen will switch to Connected devices. On Android 6 & 7 go to Settings > Bluetooth > Select the device to connect with under Available devices > Select PAIR.ġ. On Android 8 go to Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth > Select the device to connect with under Available devices > Select PAIR. Note: The above steps work with devices on Android 10 and 11. This will send them all at once, instead of sending individually. Note: To send multiple files through Bluetooth, press and hold to select these and then tap share. Select the device you are connected to and the file will be transferred. To share files through Bluetooth, select the file you would like to send, tap the Share Icon and select Bluetooth.Ĥ. On your Cat phone, go to Settings > Connected devices > Pair new device > Select the device to connect with under Available devices > Select PAIR.ģ. Once this is on, please connect both devices. You can also turn this on by going to Settings > Connected devices > Pair new device.Ģ. On your Cat phone, you can switch this on by pulling the notification bar down and selecting Bluetooth. Data can be transferred between devices using Bluetooth, NFC, Nearby Share and also using a PC.ġ.
